Process

Here’s how I went about this project:

  1. Prepared discovery questions for the client via google forms

  2. Met with the client to further understand their business needs and their users’ needs, posed my questions and discussed general suggestions/direction

  3. Defined site priorities for both the client’s business needs and user needs

  4. Ideated with sticky notes to determine site structure, drew rough sketches and created rough designs in Adobe

  5. Created the live site in Squarespace using the previously created brand style guide

  6. Received feedback from the client via virtual meetings

  7. Finalized the site, conducted informal usability tests, iterated per client requests

  8. Go live!

  9. Ongoing: monitor site analytics; iterate and improve SEO as necessary.

Results

  • Positive feedback from client on the look and feel of the site; hired again by the team to create another brand’s site

  • Client’s team is now able to make simple edits and updates to their own site

  • Prospective customers can now find and contact the company via organic and paid search; radio ads have a place to refer listeners

  • Portfolio templates are in place for future projects
